I bought this book thinking that it would be a collection of photos of the author's beautiful and imaginative crazy quilts. Well, it's all that and much more! It has easy to follow instructions with the photos of how Ms Pillsbury makes her quilt squares, with explanations. It's definitely on a beginner's level, but people of all skill levels will benefit from this beautiful book and its color photographs.

Although this is a beginners guide to crazy quilting, the seasoned quilter will find much to love about this book. The photographs are lovely and the instructions are clear. Betty takes you through making a crazy quilt from beginning to end and her style of writing is conversational and friendly. She gives some instructions on the stitches themselves, but doesnâ€™t take up a lot of space with that. (After all, there are dozens of books on that topic.) Where she excels is showing the variations of the stitches and combinations of them â€” what they would look like using different ribbons and threads. Highly recommended.

This book is a must-have!Betty Pillsbury takes the reader by the hand and leads you through the history, the art, the beauty and then the techniques of crazy quilting. The book is filled with amazing photos of the authors work., This gem may have been written for beginners but is filled with so much information that even experienced stitchers will enjoy it and return to it frequently for both inspiration and technical instructions.

Absolutely fabulous book! Betty spent a lot of time and effort to make sure this book would give anyone interested in Crazy Quilting the best information. From the pictures, to the explanations, she has created a "Go to Book" for Crazy Quilters of all levels. Way to go Betty!

Waited with anticipation and it finally arrived! Lots of wonderful detailed information and ideas. The illustrations are beautiful and the decorative stitch guide is very well explained & Illustrated. I am a novice in crazy quilting so it is a great book for me!

I personally have only known Betty for a few years. I've come to realize that Betty doesn't just do things a little bit. You can't walk through the woods with her and she tells you what each plant is and what its special qualities are. Besides that she's very funny and her quilting book it's probably the best of that type that you could buy and learn from. She's gathered a lot of information to share with her readers and you won't get it any better.

Outstanding book that takes you into the crazy quilting techniques and stitches used by Betty Pillsbury. Many examples of her work and stitches are shown in the photographs. She demonstrates that by getting the basics down, the sky is the limit once you put your creativity in motion.

Easy simple to understand instructions. Great examples and photos. A great book highly recommended.
